Vastu is the first design science to use the human body as the guiding force in the creation of space. Vastu Living adheres to this principle in all its design projects and client consultations. We design to please the intrinsic needs of the human body.
We believe that every single space should connect to us on a positive level. But far too many spaces are uninviting or neutral. They exert a negative or negated effect on us—they nullify the positive impact of space.
Think of how you feel when you stand in a crowded subway or sit in most waiting rooms. Think of how you feel when you stroll in a garden or sit on the beach and watch the sunset.
In the subway and waiting room, which many designers even call a holding pen, you withdraw and can’t wait to leave. In the garden or on the beach, you turn inward. Nature, in her quiet splendor, inspires us and puts us in spirit. We calm down and feel invigorated.
